Teacher Code of Conduct

Introduction

This Teacher Code of Conduct sets the professional, ethical, and behavioural standards expected of all faculty members, trainers, mentors, and academic staff at Gladsme Computer Education / Gladsme Technologies. Teachers play a central role in shaping student success, and their conduct must reflect integrity, respect, fairness, and commitment to educational excellence.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Prepare lessons thoroughly and deliver accurate, up-to-date course content.
  • Maintain punctuality for classes, assessments, and scheduled student interactions.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support students in achieving learning outcomes.
  • Keep student academic records confidential and use official systems for communication.
  • Continuously improve teaching skills and subject knowledge.

Respectful Conduct

  • Treat every student with dignity, courtesy, and fairness, regardless of background.
  • Avoid language or behaviour that is discriminatory, intimidating, or demeaning.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students at all times.
  • Do not engage in favouritism, private financial arrangements, or inappropriate personal relationships with students.

Classroom & Campus Standards

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and focused learning environment.
  • Address classroom disruptions calmly and according to institute procedures.
  • Report safety concerns, misconduct, or safeguarding issues promptly to management.
  • Use institute resources responsibly and for authorised academic purposes only.

Integrity & Accountability

  • Uphold academic honesty in assessments, evaluations, and certifications.
  • Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any that may affect professional judgment.
  • Comply with all institute policies, including anti-harassment and safeguarding rules.
  • Accept accountability for professional actions and cooperate with any fair inquiry.

Consequences of Violation

Breaches of this code may result in corrective action, which can include counselling, formal warning, suspension of teaching duties, or termination of engagement, depending on severity and applicable law.
